About Us
Who We Are
IPPNW Africa is a federation of groups of medical professionals, students, and people who share the common goal of achieving peace through advocacy and projects. It is part of a larger federation IPPNW that is well known for winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985 for its role in achieving peace during the cold war.
We are currently in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo. Our affiliates vary from just a group of medical students mobilizing their own for a small project on health to our supporters who turn up for our events with the vision that the world will be free from the threat of nuclear weapons
