Congress Program
IPPNW 23rd International Congress Mombasa, Kenya – 26-30 April, 2023
The Congress program will feature a range of African and international speakers who will highlight and link the health consequences of the climate crisis and nuclear weapons, especially as they relate to Africa, and within the context of other world events. They will speak to the topics of nuclear famine, energy choices, nuclear brinkmanship during war, climate and conflict and the Treaty to Prohibit Nuclear Weapons. Speakers will endeavor to provide engagement opportunities to participants. Medical students and others during a Youth Panel will emphasize how young health professionals and other young people can become involved in advocating for climate justice, nuclear weapons abolition, and a more peaceful and sustainable world.
We will offer a hybrid/virtual internet option for those who cannot attend the Congress in person.
